    We have decided to walk from the caravan today, one of the advantages of being at Seabreeze CL is its close proximity to the Northam Burrows National Park and we plan to walk around it to visit Westward Ho! In so doing Lynnie can “bag” another Hockings Ice Cream van. (more…)

    This is only a brief visit to Seabreeze CL; tomorrow we head off to Cornwall. Before we leave Lynnie is keen to make another visit to the Hocking’s Ice Cream van at Westward Ho! So a walk across Northam Burrows is called for today.

  • Back on the Northam Burrows

    Back on the Northam Burrows

    After six nights at home we are off again, this time on a two week tour that will take in North Devon, Cornwall and Somerset. Our first stop is Seabreeze CL just outside of Appledore. This is a site we previously visited soon after it first opened and we have been looking forward to revisiting.

  • Seabreeze

    Seabreeze

    Our week at Plymptons Farm CL has come to an end and we are on the move. We have been very lucky with our walks whilst staying here; despite all the rain apart from the odd shower we have stayed dry. Unfortunately there has been a lot of rain and the site is still very wet, so we have not seen it at its best. It is a friendly site, Mary has been extremely helpful and we hope to return during a dry period.

    With no awning to take down it is not long until we are sorted and off. It is just over an hours drive to our next site located just outside of Appledore in North Devon.

  • Running Kilns

    Running Kilns

    After last year’s travels our outings in the Unicorn have been limited in 2015. We both miss the life on the open road, returning home has meant some compromises and I have been busy with work. However, now it is time to step away from the garden and the keyboard for a few weeks and go on tour.

    There are some places that have names that just stand out and ask to be visited. Last year it was the likes of Westward Ho!, Orford Ness and Robin Hood’s Bay, this time around it is Much Wenlock, Haltwhistle and Giggleswick, although to be to be honest Giggleswick is on the list every year!
