    Ingleborough Revisited

After our week in Richmond we have moved a little further south, but remain in the Yorkshire Dales. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Scar Close CL and will definitely be returning in the future. Our current location is a familiar pitch to us at Brigholme Farm CL in Giggleswick.

Past readers will know that we are regular visitors to this site that is within walking distance of our friends in Settle. We have already been here for a couple of days this trip and until now I have done familiar walks in the local area. Today we are heading off for my favourite walk in the Country; it is one that I have done a few times already this year. This is one of those days when I will be combining work with our touring. So after breakfast I drive north for a meeting leaving Lynnie dog-sitting with a good book and what looks like the early signs of a cold.

It is late afternoon by the time I return so there is only time for a short stroll, though for many it would constitute a walk! This wander is far enough to give the dogs some exercise and work up an appetite and thirst for a trip to the George and Dragon later.

  • A Stroll From Hudswell to Richmond

A Stroll From Hudswell to Richmond

After an early morning stroll around Poolsbrook Country Park we are soon packed and on the road heading north to Hudswell, just outside of Richmond.

The journey is straightforward though I am pleased that we had the overnight stop. Finding the site, Scar Close CL, is easy and we are greeted warmly on our arrival and advised on the best location to pitch. It makes such a difference to the feel of the site when the owners want to share their local knowledge.
