    Last night we again visited the friendly Strathkinness Tavern for an excellent meal along with some fine ale.  After our meal we chatted to Graham the Landlord/Chef and he recommended a walk from the village to nearby Kemback.

    Returning to Knockhill CL

    When we sat down in the winter to plan our travelling for this year there was one place we both wanted to revisit; Knockhill CL.  This is on the edge of the village of Strathkinness about two miles to the west of St Andrews.  It is unusual for us to revisit a site so soon, but when we were there last year we had a cracking week.

    Lammer Law and Hopes Reservoir

    Yesterday was a moving day, we reluctantly packed up at Knockhill CL and headed from Strathkinness to the opposite side of the Forth Estuary and East Fortune Farm CL a few miles outside of North Berwick. We are old hands at packing up and moving between sites and see no benefit in rushing. In the past either rushing to pack up or set up has been the precursor for things to go wrong.

    East Fortune Farm provides walks around the edge of a couple of fields ideal for the dogs. They are well aware that they will soon be trekking miles so a leisurely stroll and sniff about keeps them satisfied.

  • Loch Leven

    Loch Leven

    After our stop at Falkland this morning we head towards Kinross to do our main walk around Loch Leven. Our starting point is the car park at Burleigh Sands at the north end of the Loch. It is a short wander down to the edge of the Loch, which we decide to walk around anti-clockwise.
