Heading North on The Offa’s Dyke Path from Domo CL

After three days of driving across to Llangollen to start my walking I have decided to walk from the site today.   After the rain yesterday it is forecast to be another scorching day so before heading off I make sure I have plenty of water for both Crosby and I.

Llangollen Canal and Castell Dinas Bran

After yesterday’s walk from the Horseshoe Falls at Llangollen I am keen to explore the Llangollen Canal and also visit the renowned Pontcysyllte Aqueduct.  It is another cracking day, but storms are forecast for later so I ensure my waterproofs are in the rucksack before driving to the Horseshoe car park close to the River Dee at Berwyn.

A Cracking Walk up the Llantysilio Mountain from the Horseshoe Falls

    Running Kilns

After last year’s travels our outings in the Unicorn have been limited in 2015. We both miss the life on the open road, returning home has meant some compromises and I have been busy with work. However, now it is time to step away from the garden and the keyboard for a few weeks and go on tour.

There are some places that have names that just stand out and ask to be visited. Last year it was the likes of Westward Ho!, Orford Ness and Robin Hood’s Bay, this time around it is Much Wenlock, Haltwhistle and Giggleswick, although to be to be honest Giggleswick is on the list every year!
