    Our walk today is on the other side of the Black Mountain, we head off in the car and near the top stop at a viewpoint to take some pictures. This is the moment when Lynnie realises she has forgotten her walking shoes. So we drive back to the Unicorn.

    The European Athletics have finally finished and Lynnie emerges from the Unicorn! She is ready for a walk, not a long one and or one that involves steep hills. So a walk along the banks of a river seems to fit the bill.

    Another sunny day. We have been fortunate this summer, there are showers about but not to spoil the day. Apparently it is the final day of the European Athletics Championship and it is vitally important that Lynnie watches otherwise the anticipated gold medals might not materialise!

  • Another New Site

    Another New Site

    Another moving day, a lot easier now that we are using the porch awning, I can take it down on my own in next to no time. We have been staying at Highmeadow Farm CL between Coleford and Newland. It is a quiet rural location and ideally placed for exploring this area. The only down side has been that the grass has not been cut for some time and it has been quite wet, consequently we have been walking in very wet grass. It is a pity because if it had been cut the site would have had a very different feel.
