Over the last few days we have walked sections of the Ridgeway National Trail and I am keen to visit the point where the 87 mile trail starts, or finishes, at Ivinghoe Beacon.

An Eleven Mile Circuit from Princes Risborough to Coombe Hill Monument
After our walk along a section of the Ridgeway last week we are keen to explore more of this National Trail. In particular I want to bag the Ordnance Survey trig point at Coombe Hill and visit the nearby monument.

When staying at Cholsey Grange we rarely get in the car to head for a walk, but today we are making the short trip over the hill to the village of Chinnor from where our ramble will commence.

Sunshine After the Rain at Cholsey Grange CL
After nearly a month at home we are back on the road. Following a trip away I often struggle to adapt to home life. It’s not that I don’t like being at home, it‘s great to catch up with friends, but I do enjoy the simplicity of life on the road. Our pitch for the next few weeks is on Cholsey Grange CL in a cracking area of the Chiltern Hills.

Walking with Lolly
Having dropped Lynnie at home yesterday afternoon it feels odd to wake up in the caravan with just Crosby for company. It does not take us long to get out in the woods and after a couple of miles both Crosby and I are ready for breakfast.
