Dexter is looking brighter today. Clearly two days of rest have helped and he is walking without a limp. He has become a bit cussed and stubborn as the weeks have gone by. He has a favourite spot, the back of the Freelander with the boot open and with luck the sun shining in. He prefers it if the back of the car is facing out onto the site so that he can keep watch on things from his vantage point. As soon as he has consumed his breakfast he trots to the car and whines to be let in.

Sunset at Cromer
We decide that Dexter could do with another rest day, his leg is much better and bearing weight again. So a short stroll will do, this also fits well with Lynnie’s plans.

Wind in the Willows (As recalled by Lynnie)
Last evening on our late return to the Unicorn, I flagged up my reluctance for another long walk following three in succession. The last two being non-stop, very scenic, “afternoon strolls” of 13 and 12.5 miles. I suggested that the “boys” and I were over exerting ourselves (this cut little ice with Fred). Freddy has become a metronome of walking at a steady, unrelenting pace, I have no doubt he could easily cover 30 miles a day. My view is mainly of his back some distance ahead with Crosby trotting along beside him, Dexter and I lagging behind supposedly pausing for photo shots.

A walk with Crosby
I set off on our early morning walk, but Dexter is not keen. He has a limp so we go as far as we need to for him to cock his leg and then back to the Unicorn. Crosby still needs a walk so he and I head off together.

“Tis a lubley a’ternoon fur jammin bout”
An early morning start for the boys and I. The sun is shining and we take our usual short stroll down the lane to the copse. The sunshine and birdsong encourages me through the woods and we pick up Weavers Way heading towards Cromer. This takes us across open fields before joining the road into Cromer.

Small Train Ahead
Moving day complete and the first full day on our new site near Felbrigg in North Norfolk. Our evening stroll yesterday led us to an attractive copse maintained by the Woodland Trust, not huge but abundant with birdsong. I head for the same copse for my morning stroll with the boys.

Goodbye Briarwood Farm
The tenth moving day of our tour. It is a dry morning but showers are forecast so we aim to get the awning down quickly and packed up before the rain reaches us. The drizzle starts as we are half way through, but the awning will be back up within a couple of hours so no harm done.

Suffolk Show
Back in the winter when planning our travel route and itinerary I did some research to see if we could pick up an agricultural show along the way. Luckily Suffolk County show coincided with our visit.

Sutton Hoo
We have had a rainy night and there is further rain forecast for the day. I take the boys out for an hour on our now usual route from the CL. After catching up with a few things around the Unicorn, including a few overdue blogs I pop to Waitrose in Saxmundham to make use of their free wi-fi to upload blogs and do some shopping, it all takes longer than I anticipated and is a bit frustrating.
